B I O G R A P H Y

Lisi Specht (maiden name: Lisi Gradnitzer), born in Carinthia/Austria. At age 19 I moved to Graz/Austria where I earned a university degree in Business Administration at Karl-Franzens-Universität in 1994. After finishing my studies I worked in advertising and design agencies in Vienna/Austria and Hamburg/Germany for several years. In 1997 I moved to New York, focused on photography, developed my skills and had my first solo exhibition in 1998.

For the last years I have photographed several advertising campaigns in Austria and worked regularly for magazines, cultural and social institutions. My independent works have been shown in exhibitions in Vienna and in international shows.

Currently I live and work in Vienna, where I met Charlie in August 2008 and married Johannes Specht in November 2009.

Lisi Specht (Lisi Gradnitzer): Geboren 1969 in Kärnten, Magister der Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Karl-Franzens-Universität, Graz, 1994; parallel zur Arbeit in Design- und Werbeagenturen in Wien und Hamburg, autodidaktische Ausbildung zur Fotografin. Die intensive Auseinandersetzung mit Fotographie beginnt 1995-1996 in Hamburg, 1997-1998 Leben und Arbeit in New York; erste Ausstellung 1998; seit 2001 freie Fotografin in Wien.
